FADE IN:

INT. AUDREY’S TOWNHOUSE Ð NIGHT

AUDREY

(whispering)

Where did you park?

JACK

Other side, don’t worry…I thought your father would be asleep by now.

AUDREY

Usually he is. I don’t know who’s at the door. But just in
case, go in the closet over there, okay?

JACK

You’re serious? You want me to hide in a closet?

AUDREY

Please, Jack, just go.

JACK

Okay.

Jack goes and hides in the coat closet.

Audrey runs over to the mirror and quickly fixes her lipstick and hair, then goes over and opens
the door.

She is relieved when she sees XIANG SHIN, the 26-year-old tenant who has been renting the basement of her house, standing in the doorway.

AUDREY

Hey…come on in.

XIANG

Sorry to come by so late…this was the first time I saw your car here in a while. I hope I did not wake you.

AUDREY

No, I was still up…can I get you anything to drink?

XIANG

No thanks, I’m fine. I just wanted to give you my rent check and let you know that I’m going to be leaving next month…I’m moving to Detroit to manage the Congressman’s reelection campaign. I hope that’s enough notice.

AUDREY

Yeah, that’s fine. Do you happen to know anyone else who might be interested?

XIANG

Not off the top of my head, but I can ask around.

AUDREY

Alright, thanks.

XIANG

Actually, this may sound nosy, but are you usually at your boyfriend’s place?

AUDREY

How do you know about my boyfriend?

XIANG

I saw you together a few weeks ago…why, is it a secret?

AUDREY

Kind of…not really a secret, just not something too many people know about, for a variety of reasons. Why do you ask?

XIANG

I have a friend who’s moving here with his wife and newborn baby, and they might be interested in renting the whole place.

AUDREY

Hmmm…I appreciate it, but I don’t think I’m ready to give up this place just yet. Besides, if my boyfriend and I were going to move in together, it would probably make more sense for him to move in here…my stuff would never fit in his apartment.

XIANG

Yeah, I understand. Just thought I’d throw that out there. Anyways, I’m going to go get some sleep…sorry to bother you so late.

AUDREY

No problem. Have a good night.

XIANG

You too.

She shows Xiang to the door.

CUT TO:

EXT. TOWNHOUSE Ð NIGHT

Xiang walks down the steps outside the townhouse. After Audrey closes the door behind him, he takes something out of his pocket. CLOSE-UP SHOT shows him pressing stop on a little tape recorder.

CUT TO:

INT. TOWNHOUSE Ð NIGHT

AUDREY

Okay…false alarm…you can come out now.

(no response)

Jack, I know you’re here…

She opens the door to the closet and does not see him immediately. Suddenly, hands reach out from behind a bunch of coats and grab her, startling her half to death.

AUDREY

(laughing)Okay, okay, I’m sorry. I just got nervous…come on, would you really have wanted my father to find out about us this way?

JACK

Not really. I just felt like scaring you.

AUDREY

Well, you did a good job of it.

JACK

I know. Come here.

“If Walls Could Talk” by Celine Dion starts to play in the background.

Jack pulls Audrey toward him and kisses her.

She finishes unbuttoning his shirt and slides it off his shoulders.

He tugs at the bottom of her shirt, and she lifts her arms in the air and lets him pull it off.

He presses her against the wall and kisses her passionately.

AUDREY

(breathlessly)

Let’s…go…upstairs.

JACK

Uh uh.

AUDREY

Why not?

JACK

I have a better idea.

He closes the door to the closet and ties a scarf around her eyes as a blindfold.

AUDREY

What are you doing?

JACK

Well, I thought that in keeping with the theme of sneaking around like we’re in junior high, I thought it was time for a game of “Seven Minutes in Heaven.”

AUDREY

What’s that?

JACK

You’ve never played Seven Minutes in Heaven? I thought that was like, a staple of parties in junior high.

AUDREY

I never went to parties when I was in junior high, okay? So you’re going to have to bring me up to speed here…what is Seven Minutes in Heaven?

JACK

It’s a game where two people go in a dark closet for seven minutes…traditionally, it’s played with a bunch of people gawking outside the closet to find out what went on during the seven minutes, but we’ll have to just make believe with that part.

AUDREY

Okay…so what’s with the blindfold?

JACK

Just thought that would add to the fun. Do you trust me?

AUDREY

Yes…

JACK

Good.

He pulls her toward him and turns her so that her back is against his chest.

He leans in and nibbles on her neck as he runs his fingers over the front clasp on her bra, waiting for her to nod before undoing it.

He slides it off her shoulders and starts to stroke some of the newly exposed skin, continuing to kiss her neck and shoulders.

She moans softly.

He guides her as she turns around and kisses him on the lips, groaning softly when she slips her tongue into his mouth.

She fumbles around trying to find the clasp for his pants.

He guides her fingers toward the right spot and helps her undo the button and zipper, gasping when she strokes him through his boxers as his khakis fall to the floor.

He kisses her passionately on the lips, then trails his lips and tongue down her chest and teases her by slipping his tongue just below her pant line, making her moan.

He slides her pants down and kisses her inner thighs, slowly working his way up, then tugs at the strings on her underwear.

JACK

May I?

She nods, and gasps when he replaces the garment with his lips.

She grips his shoulders for support, throwing her head back in ecstasy as he begins to make love to her with his tongue.

Her breathing becomes more rapid and intense as she fights to hang on until he pushes her over the edge.

He
trails his lips back up her stomach and chest, and as soon as his head is in reach, Audrey grabs it and pulls him in for a searing kiss.

She feels around until she finds the elastic on his boxers and pulls them off of him.

He pulls her close, wrapping his arm around the back of her head so she won’t hit it against the wall.

He kisses her gently then whispers in her ear.

JACK

You ready?

AUDREY

Yeah.

JACK

(whispering)

C’mere.

She wraps her arms around him and starts running her hands up and down his back and sides, inhaling in anticipation when he enters her.

He
kisses her deeply as he gently presses her against the wall and begins to move inside her, slowly at first, then gradually increasing his pace, heating things up without losing the tenderness.

She gasps and tilts her head back, wanting to keep kissing him but too overwhelmed by the sensation to be able to.

She is frustrated at not being able to see, but at the same time, being blinded heightens her other senses, making his touch feel that much more incredible.

He starts sucking gently on her neck, making her moan.

She leans back and lets him take control, overwhelmed by how amazing he is making her feel.

By the time they are done she is numb from the experience.

She slides down into a sitting position as they both struggle to catch their breaths.

He sits down next to her and strokes her arm gently.

She starts to shiver, and he grabs a blanket from the top shelf and wraps it around her, then takes off the blindfold and looks into her eyes.

JACK

(Grinning)

Hey.

Audrey smiles and looks at him.

AUDREY

Hey.

He kisses her forehead softly and wraps his arm around her.

JACK

Are you okay? You seem a little shaken.

Audrey blushes a little.

AUDREY

Yeah, I’m fine…just a little overwhelmed.

Jack becomes concerned.

JACK

Was it too intense? Did I make you uncomfortable?

AUDREY

No, no…relax. It’s just…

She blushes and looks away shyly.

JACK

What is it, sweetheart?

AUDREY

I just…before we got together, I never knew that making love could feel so incredible…I guess I’m still getting used to it.

Jack grins and kisses her softly.

AUDREY

Sometimes when we’re at work I catch myself daydreaming about you even when we’re not together…the other day during a meeting I was having the hardest time staying focused because all I could think about was the night before…that’s never happened to me before.

JACK

You’re not alone on that. Whenever I see you at work I have to restrain myself from grabbing you and doing all kinds of things that could definitely get us fired.

She smiles and kisses him gently at first, then slips her tongue into his mouth as the kiss becomes more heated.

JACK

Let’s go upstairs.

AUDREY

Uh uh.

JACK

How come?

AUDREY

Now it’s my turn to give you seven minutes in heaven.

Jack grins.

Audrey nudges him back a little so that he is sitting with his back against the wall.

She ties the scarf around his eyes, then kneels down in his lap facing him.

He rubs her back gently and runs his hand through her hair as they start kissing frantically.

He groans as she moves her lips down his neck and chest, then lower…
